The Las Piñas City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) conducted a two-day training for members of the city's Tricycle Operators and Drivers Associations (TODA) aimed to equip them with essential first aid skills, promoting safety and preparedness within their communities.
Las Piñas Vice Mayor April Aguilar said the first aid training conducted by the DRRMO team led by Alejandro Dela Merced was held last Dec. 4 and 5 at the DRRM Building in Talon Dos, Las Piñas City.
Participants received training on critical first aid procedures, including CPR, wound care, basic life support, and emergency response protocols. The sessions also emphasized practical, hands-on demonstrations to ensure that participants could effectively respond to emergencies on the road.
Aguilar underscored that the training program reflects the city’s commitment to public safety and disaster preparedness, equipping TODA members with the tools needed to respond effectively in times of crisis for a safer Las Piñas for all.
