Various parts of the Philippines are expected to experience cloudy weather with isolated rain showers on Friday, Dec. 27, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
In its weather forecast, PAGASA said that the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will affect Palawan, the Visayas, and Mindanao, while the northeast monsoon, locally known as "amihan," will influence northern Luzon.
The ITCZ is forecast to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to Mindanao, the Visayas, Palawan, Masbate, Catanduanes, Albay, and Sorsogon.
Meanwhile, the "amihan" will bring cloudy skies with rain to Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and Ilocos Norte.
The rest of the Ilocos Region is expected to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.
Localized thunderstorms may also cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
PAGASA has cautioned the public about possible flash floods or landslides in areas experiencing moderate to heavy rainfall or severe thunderstorms.
