In its weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) stated that Metro Manila and the rest of the country would experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

PAGASA also noted that two other weather systems are affecting other parts of the country, particularly Mindanao and areas in northern Luzon.

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will affect Mindanao, while the northeast monsoon (amihan) will influence Northern Luzon, according to PAGASA.

The ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to Mindanao and Palawan.

The “amihan,” on the other hand, will bring cloudy skies with rains and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains to Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and the Ilocos Region.

Flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains or severe thunderstorms are possible, PAGASA warned.
