DSWD-Caraga contributes 7,600 food packs for Kanlaon evacuees


BUTUAN CITY – The Department of Social Welfare and Development-Caraga has sent 7,600 family food packs for victims of the Kanlaon Volcano eruption in Negros Occidental.

DSWD-13 Regional Information Officer Marko Davey Reyes said they have shipped 4,000 family food packs to Bacolod City and 3,592 are expected to arrive on Christmas Day.

Reyes said these are part of a coordinated effort to provide essential food assistance to families in evacuation centers.

He said these were sourced from DSWD-Caraga warehouses to address the urgent needs of evacuees and will be replenished to continue supporting those in need.

“Ang ating gobyerno ay tuloy ang pamimigay ng tulong sa mga nangangailangan (The government will continue helping those in need), we will not stop helping, especially during calamities,”  Reyes added.
