Motorcycle rider hurt in EDSA road mishap

A motorcycle rider was injured after he lost control of his vehicle while driving along EDSA-Cubao in Quezon City on early Tuesday morning, Dec. 24.

Based on the initial report, the rider allegedly lost control of his motorcycle after he tried to avoid a pedestrian at the corner of Erwin Garcia Street and EDSA southbound.

Personnel from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Quezon City Police District (QCPD), and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Emergency Medical Services immediately responded to the accident and applied first aid to the crashed rider who suffered from a head injury and scrapes on his belly.

He was then brought to the hospital and is now in stable condition.

Meanwhile, the accident caused heavy traffic in the area.

Normal traffic conditions were normalized at around 6:30 a.m.
