Christmas invites us to embody the love of Jesus

I extend my warmest holiday wishes to the management, editorial team, staff, and readers of Manila Bulletin.

In this most festive time of the year, we are not only reminded of the spirit of forgiveness, generosity, and love. We are also called to open our hearts and invite others to experience the profound happiness in forgiving, sharing, and loving.

Christmas invites us to embody the love of Jesus, offering us a chance to find meaning in the gift of life. Jesus lived among us and taught us the importance of family, as the spring from which kindness compassion, respect, and understanding overflow.

I pray our celebration will inspire us to open our hearts to the nation as we strive to build a peaceful, prosperous, and equitable future for all.
May this season rekindle the spirit of the Filipino people â€” our resilience, our faith, and our solidarity.

Let the courage of those facing challenges embolden us to enter the New Year filled with hope and determination to surmount the challenges we face as a nation.

Together, let us count our blessings with gratitude, celebrate our strides with humanity, and march ahead with a stronger resolve to build a better and more resilient future for the Filipino people.
