Senior citizens of Binangonan, Rizal receive Christmas gift packs

Several senior citizens of Binangonan, Rizal received Christmas gift packs from the municipal government.

During a simple gathering at the municipal hall, officials of the Binangonan Federation of Senior Citizens Association (BFOSCA) thanked the local government of Binangonan for giving importance to the elderly of the town through various programs.

Binangonan Mayor Cesar Ynares was represented by his son, Russel Ynares, during the Christmas party of the BFOSCA.

The young Ynares underscored the contribution of the town’s senior citizens to the continuing progress of the town.

The seniors enjoyed participating in the parlor games aside from the food that they shared during the activity which was held recently at the BFOSCA office in the municipal hall.

Earlier, the Binangonan LGU honored centenarian Felicisima Macaraig Celoza of Barangay Libid as part of the national government’s incentive program for those who have reached the age of 100.

Celoza, aside receiving a certificate of recognition, also received ₱100,000 from the Department of Social Welfare and Development as mandated by the Centenarians Act of 2016.
