4 ranking PRO-Cordillera officers assume new posts


CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Four ranking police officers in the Police Regional Office-Cordillera were reassigned before Christmas.

THE Police Regional Office-Cordillera moved four police officers before Christmas.

Col. James Mangili replaced Col. Gilbert Fati-ig as Kalinga Provincial Police Office chief. Fati-ig was reassigned to head the Abra PPO.

Col. Jeremias Oyawon was tapped to lead the Ifugao PPO. He replaced Col. Marvin Diplat who is now the head of the PRO-Cordillera Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division.

They were sworn in during a joint turnover ceremony in this camp on Dec. 23.

They received property books and equipment inventory and assumed ongoing programs and activities to ensure a smooth transition of operations and maintain the efficiency and readiness of the organization under the new leadership.

Police Brig. Gen. David Peredo Jr., PRO-Cordillera chief, prodded the newly installed police officers.

"As leaders, you are not only stewards of operational excellence but also the embodiment of our core values – service, honor, and justice. Let us align our efforts with the vision of a safer, more secure, and progressive nation, based on our shared commitment to serve and protect," he added.

Peredo was accompanied by Col. Elmer Ragay, deputy regional director for operations; and Col. Julio Lizardo, regional chief of staff, during the event.
