Julia Roberts, her niece Emma, Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes, and Selena Gomez are just a few of the celebrities spotted wearing shoes from this stylish footwear brand. Most recently, Oprah Winfrey was also seen rocking a pair of boots from the same label.
Since its launch in 2020, Vivaia has been making waves not only for its stylish designs and comfortable footwear but also for its strong commitment to sustainability. Discarded PET bottles are cleaned and extruded into yarn, which forms the core material used in producing these eco-friendly knit shoes.
Each pair uses an equivalent of six recycled plastic bottles and features a padded insole for all-day comfort. The cushioned insoles are made from yoga mat-like materials, offering arch support and shock-absorbing heels. The insoles incorporate artmesia argyi (Chinese mugwort), which naturally resist odors. Even the packaging reflects the brand's commitment to sustainability, with boxes made from 90 percent recycled cardboard to help reduce environmental impact.
With over 60 countries and regions present, it’s about time Vivaia opens here in the Philippines. Set on Jan. 5, 2025, its pop-up location will be at the R2 Bridgeway of Power Plant Mall. Expect their bestsellers there such as Margot 2.0 and Margot Mary-Janes with prices starting at P5,890.
