Former Sulu village chair shot dead

ZAMBOANGA CITY – A former barangay captain and his companion were gunned down in Indanan, Sulu on Saturday, Dec. 21.

Police identified the victims as Faizal Ibrahim Biao, former barangay captain of Kandaga, Talipao, Sulu, and Fadjiri Abdurajan Biao.  

Investigation showed that the victims were riding a motorcycle from Jolo, Sulu toward Barangay Kandaga in Talipao when armed men onboard a car fired at them using an M16 rifle.

Victims sustained multiple bullet wounds and died on the spot. 

Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
