Brother, sister arrested for P741,000 shabu, marijuana kush in Taguig


Two siblings will be spending Christmas in jail after they were arrested for possession of shabu and marijuana kush in Taguig on Dec. 20. 

The Taguig Police Substation 4 identified the arrested suspects as alias Rosario, 52, tagged as a high value individual, and her brother, alias Rio, 54, a street level individual. 

They were arrested by the police in Barangay Sta. Ana, Taguig at about 11:30 p.m., according to a report received by newly installed Southern Police District chief Brig. Gen. Manuel Abrugena.

The police were conducting foot patrol when they caught the suspects and seized from their possession three plastic packs containing suspected shabu weighing 103 grams valued at P700,400, and a plastic sachet containing dried leaves of marijuana kush weighing 29 grams valued at P40,600. 

According to the police, the two suspects will be slapped with complaints for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). 

The illegal drugs will be turned over to the SPD Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.
