Filipino singer Rozz Daniels, who is based in the US, is currently in town to record a classic song that was popularized by OPM icon Renz Verano.

Rozz referred to the song "Ibang Iba Ka Na," initially recorded by Renz in 2014.

"Sabi ng manager ko, bagay na bagay raw sa vocal range ko ang kanta. I'm looking forward sa pagkanta ko ng classic song na ito," said Rozz during a media conference at Music Box in Quezon City recently.

Prior, Rozz staged a Christmas show with two other artists: Jerome Sang and Neli Legaspi.

But beyond music, Rozz said she misses spending the holidays in Manila. 

"Every year ako nagse-celebrate ng Pasko sa Pilipinas. Hanggang January ako rito sa atin," Rozz said.

Rozz said she is thankful for her friends who inspire her so much.

"Hindi nila ako iniiwan at yan ang pinagpapasalamat ko sa Diyos. Nasa Kumu pa kami noong 2020. Kahit na madalas ako sa Amerika, hindi nila ako iniiwan," she said.

Rozz also said she was happy for Filipino singer Sofronio Vasquez who won grand prize in The Voice USA Season 26.

"I met Sofronio at one of the events in Wisconsin. Kumanta siya roon. He is so nice. Pinakilala siya sa amin," she also said.

Asked if she was inspired to compete in a singing reality competition similar to The Voice, Rozz said: "Mahirap yun. Sumasali naman ako noon sa Hawaii sa mga singing contest pero hindi yung ganun kalaking contest. Humble lang tayo. May mga lumalapit sa akin para isali ako sa ganung contest pero ayoko talaga. Masaya na ako sa simpleng career ko."

Rozz also shared her personal Christmas wish.

"Sana ay magkasundo sundo na ang lahat. Sana wala ng naghihirap at maging masaya tayong lahat," she said.

One of her goals in 2025 is to stage a concert. "Sana magkaroon ako ng concert hindi lang simpleng show. Siyempre kasama ko sila Jerome and Neli. Tapos ma-promote ko rin yung bagong single ko."
