Poll chief condemns slay try vs Sulu election exec

Garcia said that while Julie survived the ambush, the latter's sibling died as a result of injuries sustained. Both were inside a car during the attack.

"No words are enough to condemn this treacherous act of violence against our people. What is more gruesome and unforgivable is when a loved one is caught in the crossfire so to speak," Garcia said in a statement.

"We are not yet prepared to cry hopelessness but a call for immediate action from authorities is strongly demanded," he added.

Garcia also shared a post by Julie which showed the bloodied interior of the vehicle.

In the caption Julie said: "Mga duag kong matapang kayo mag pakilala kayo kong sino kayo para walang madamay ibang tao, buhay pa ako mga duag (Cowards, if you're brave, introduce yourselves so that others won't get involved. I'm still alive, cowards)."
