Man caught with illegal drugs after breaking into car in Rizal

Authorities arrested a man for stealing various items from a parked car and for possessing illegal drugs in Cainta, Rizal, on Friday, Dec. 20.

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) identified the suspect as “Axel,” 28.

According to the victim, he caught the suspect and another man inside his vehicle while it was parked in a grocery store parking area in Barangay Sto. Domingo at around 5:30 p.m.

The victim immediately confronted the suspects, but they fled, taking the victim's body bag containing a wallet, IDs, a watch, and cash worth P60,000.

The incident was immediately reported to authorities. The suspect was arrested after being identified through the rogues' gallery of the police.

During the suspect's arrest, six packets of shabu weighing approximately one gram, woth around P6,800, were also confiscated from him.

Further police investigation revealed that the suspect had previous cases of robbery, theft, and illegal gambling.

The suspect is currently detained at the Cainta Custodial Facility and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and theft.
