Army civilian volunteer electrocuted to death

SAN NARCISO, Quezon – A civilian volunteer of the Philippine Army was electrocuted in Barangay White Cliff here on Friday afternoon, Dec. 20.

Police identified the victim as Jeruic Mandia, 21, of Boac, Marinduque.

Investigation said the victim went to the restroom while attending classes at the Delta Company headquarters of the 85th Infantry Battalion.

Army Sgt. Ernel Cajes conducted physical accounting and discovered that the victim was missing.

Mandia was located near an electrical water pump lying unconscious.

He was taken to a hospital here where he was declared dead due to electrocution.
