In Office Order No. 173, Biazon told Simundac, “Effective from 22 December 2024 until 04 January 2025, you are hereby designated as the Acting City Mayor of the City Government.”

“Your mandate is to provide instructions on the proper course of action; attend meetings, online or in person, relevant to the functions of the office; oversee the daily operations of the City Government, including monitoring of all personnel; and perform such other functions as may be necessary to effectively carry out the responsibilities as the Acting City Mayor,” added Biazon.

On the other hand, the DILG Sec. Juanito Victor Remulla designated Corro as acting vice mayor for the same period.

Remulla made the designation as Corro is the highest ranking member of the City Council of Muntinlupa who garnered the most number of votes in the last local elections.

As acting vice mayor,  Corro will preside over the regular and special sessions of the City Council and attest to the passage of all ordinances and resolutions during the absence of the mayor.

Corro has been designated as acting vice mayor several times in the past as he has been the highest ranking Sanggunian member in the last five elections.
