2 fishermen missing at sea in Quezon

MULANAY, Quezon – Two fishermen went missing in the sea of Barangay Santo Niño here on Thursday, Dec. 19.

Police identified them as Brences Profugo, 23, and Edrian Drio, 16, residents of Barangay Cambuga, this town.

Carmelita Profugo, mother of Brences, told police that her son and Drio went fishing on board a motor banca at 10 a.m.

However, they failed to return home on Dec. 20, prompting Carmelita to report them missing to authorities.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office and Philippine Coast Guard are conducting search operations.
