Kapamilya star Vice Ganda brings hope and happiness to others through his fantastic humor and timely jokes. He also finds joy in his own life by undergoing therapy.

During the grand media conference for their Metro Manila Film Festival entry, "And the Breadwinner Is," the actor shared his thoughts on breadwinners facing mental health issues.

"It’s impossible na hindi ka magkaroon ng mental health issues as a breadwinner. The feeling that you are alone in facing all the problems, that’s the most difficult part. The challenges are part of our lives. But if you’re alone, at alam mong wala kang maaasahan, it’s a headache. It’s difficult to sleep. Ang hirap nun mag-isip, especially when you can’t talk about it. You have no one to talk to and no one wants to listen to you. That would cause mental health issues,” Vice Ganda said.

(It's incredibly challenging for a breadwinner to avoid mental health issues. The feeling of being alone while facing all the problems is often the hardest part. Challenges are a natural part of life, but when you feel isolated and unable to rely on anyone, it becomes overwhelming. It affects your ability to sleep and think clearly, especially when you can't discuss your struggles with anyone and feel that no one is willing to listen. This isolation can lead to serious mental health concerns.)

While playing the lead in the film, Vice Ganda revealed that he was consistently undergoing therapy during the shooting.

"I am still undergoing therapy at ayun yung isang bagay na hindi ko gusto ihinto kasi gusto matulungan yung sarili ko, kasi marami pa akong gustong gawin. Katulad ng maraming breadwinners, marami akong pangarap, marami pang nakapasan sa akin, marami pa akong gustong gawin," Vice Ganda said.

(I am still undergoing therapy, and that is something I don’t want to stop because I want to help myself. I have many dreams and burdens, and there is still so much I want to accomplish. Like many breadwinners, I have a lot on my plate and many aspirations for the future.)

Vice Ganda clarified that his decision to undergo therapy was not due to being a breadwinner, but rather because he had personal issues in the past when he began his acting career. "Especially what I experienced as an actor and my current journey."

He emphasized his desire to maintain his mental and physical well-being through therapy, and he is proud to do so.

"I am proud of it. This is one thing na hindi natin dapat pinagdadalawang-isipan na gawin because going to therapy or seeking help from a psychiatrist, psychologist, or a professional will help you with your mental health issues," he added.

(I am proud of this. Seeking therapy or help from a psychiatrist, psychologist, or professional is crucial for managing mental health issues.)
