Shabu seized in Caloocan buy-bust


Operatives of the Caloocan City Police Station-Drug Enforcement Unit (CCPS-DEU) confiscated P380,000 worth of shabu and arrested three suspects during a buy-bust operation on Friday, Dec. 20.

The suspects, identified as “Michael,” “Ardy,” and “Alvin,” were apprehended around 7:01 a.m. in Barangay 28, Caloocan City. 

A police officer acted as a poseur buyer and purchased P1,500 worth of shabu which led to the arrest of the suspects.

Authorities seized approximately 56 grams of shabu valued at P380,000, along with the marked buy-bust money. 

The suspects will face charges under Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. 

Northern Police District (NPD) chief Col. Josefino Ligan lauded the swift action of the CCPS operatives. 

"The NPD will continue to intensify its anti-illegal drug operations and remain vigilant in safeguarding our community. Our focus is on protecting our neighborhoods from the scourge of illegal drugs while upholding the dignity of every resident,” he said
