Parañaque recognized as solid waste management top performer

The Parañaque City government was awarded as the Best Performing Local Government Unit in Metro Manila for its solid waste management initiatives during the 4^th Consultative Meeting of the Metro Manila Solid Waste Management Board-Technical Working Group (MMSWMB-TWG) on Thursday, Dec. 19.

Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez said the recognition was awarded to the city government for achieving the most efficient waste disposal performance for the year.

He said the city government was also recognized for its commitment and implementation of appropriate strategies in solid waste management as validated by the Environmental Compliance Audit 2024.

The mayor said the awards reflect the city’s dedication to environmental sustainability and effective waste management practices.
