P13.6-M shabu, gun seized in drug sting

CEBU CITY – Two kilos of shabu worth P13.6 million were seized from a 46-year-old man in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Pulpogan, Consolacion town, northern Cebu on Thursday afternoon, Dec. 19.

A KG9 9mm pistol with five bullets was also seized from the possession of Jame Lacang, a native of Bohol living in Barangay Pulpogan.

Police Lt. Col. Eunil Avergonzado, chief of the Consolacion police, said they started monitoring the suspect when they received an information that he was the source of illegal drugs circulating in the town.

Avergonzado said the suspect was capable of selling shabu in huge quantities.

Police added that Lacang was arrested in Bohol for the same offense. 

The suspect obtained his supply of illegal drugs through his boss serving a sentence at the Abuyog Penal Farm in Leyte, police said.
