The wait is finally over! "Tolome: Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis" is back for its much-anticipated third season, bringing an exciting new chapter.

Beginning Dec. 22, GMA Network, in collaboration with Imus Productions Inc., promises to take fans on a rollercoaster ride of suspense and laughter while also uncovering the untold stories of its beloved characters.

"There was a clamor for Season 3. I was doing a movie, "Alyas Pogi," for the Metro Manila Film Festival. Pero nagkaroon naman ako ng injury sa Achilles heel," said Titanic Action Star Sen. Bong Revilla Jr. during the grand press conference at Novotel Manila in Araneta City recently.

Bong added: "Then in October, nag-heel na siya so pwede na ako mag shoot ng another season for "Walang Matigas." So shelved muna ang "Alyas Pogi."

"At least yung 'Walang Matigas' mapapanood kami ng mga fans namin ni Beauty (Gonzalez) before the campaign season for the elections," Bong said.

The politician-actor stated that the series improved significantly regarding its action scenes. As he described it, "parang pang movies ang mga action scenes dito. Makikita ninyo sa mga galaw ko rito na kayang-kaya ko na uli."

Beauty admitted that the team got nervous with the action scenes of Bong.

"Kinakabahan pa rin kami pero bilib pa rin kami sa kanya. Parang wala naman nangyari," Beauty said.

In April, Bong was confined in the hospital when his Achilles heel tore up while filming a running scene for "Alyas Pogi."

"One month after the operation, nilalakad ko na talaga. Ayokong lumiit ang hita ko. Meron din akong gym instructor kaya maganda yung mga nakapaligid sa akin.

"I think my right leg has become stronger kaya I can run and jump. Dito ko nasubukan yung isang matinding jump. Kaya yung mga nakapaligid sa akin medyo kinabahan sila," Bong said.

More stunts

Bong and Beauty shared some of the most memorable scenes from the series.

"May stunt ako na nakasakay sa kotse pero nahulog ako sa kotse. Tumahimik sila. Sabi nila, 'Oh my God! Baka nadali na naman yun paa.'Pero sabi ko, 'I'm okay.' Then palakpakan sila," said Bong.

He added: "May mga bruises pa rin ako during our shoot. Minsan natatamaan ako ng effects yung mga blow gun. Imbes na sa wall tumama, sa likod ko tumatama.

"Pero kasama talaga yan sa trabaho. Even sa mga stunts natin meron injury. Death-defying stunts na ang ginagawa namin. Meron kaming eksena na nahulog yung kotse sa ilog.

Beauty recalled a scene where she and Bong were supposed to renew their wedding vows, but she was kidnapped.

"I was in a wedding gown, and it was my first time doing an underwater scene," she said. "Masaya naman."

Bong narrated: "Tumalon yung car. Nandoon ako sa ibabaw while si Beauty naman ay nasa loob ng car."

The senator shared an exciting video taken on a cell phone in Laguna.

Beauty revealed that a stunt double was used for the scene where she was supposed to be inside the car when it fell into the river. "Hindi ako yung (nasa loob ng car), but we must do the underwater scene."

Initially, Beauty expressed her nervousness about the underwater scene, but she went ahead because she trusted Bong's team, who took care of the cast.

"When we did the underwater scene, we had divers around us, so we felt safe. By the way, I am a diver, too. Kaya nakayanan ko naman," said Beauty.

But Bong said she challenged Beauty about not wearing goggles.

"Sabi ko sa kanya, kaya mo bang hindi magsuot ng goggles for 20 seconds? Kasi kailangan alisin niya yun sa underwater scene," the action star said.

Beauty laughed and added: "Pero heto ang abangan ninyo. Nakasigaw pa ako ng Tolome sa ilalim."

New title

Bong shared why the name Tolome has been added to the television series title. Thus the new title: "Tolome: Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis."

"Hindi kasi matandaan ng mga tao yung title. Ang haba! Kung anu-ano na ang sinasabi ng mga tao. Para na siyang tongue-twister. So para madaling tandaan, dinagdag namin yung Tolome sa title," he said.

Beauty mentioned that the name "Tolome" is easy and quick for the audience to remember. "Pag naglalakad ako minsan may sumisigaw na 'Tolome!' "

Bong said the team made the right decision in choosing Beauty as his 'misis' in the third season of the series.

"Dapat pag sumigaw siya ng Tolome, parang nasasapian. Parang nawawala yung character niya as Gloria at nagugulo ang mundo niya," he said.

The Kapuso comedy-action series unveils a fresh set of characters that viewers should watch out for – new hotshot villains to catch, and events that will have Gloria crying her iconic “Tolome!”.

The iconic character of Tolome will still be played by Bong. Joining him and returning as Tolome’s wife, Gloria, is Beauty.

"Dito makikilala ninyo yung nanay niya (Beauty). Makikita rin ninyo rito ang backstory ng father ko at meron pang anak. Yun ang mga aabangan nila. Meron pa rin ditong family values at puso. Mga moral lessons," he added. "I think sam three season na nagawa, mukhang lalabas ito na pinakamaganda."

New to Tolome’s life this season are Leo Martinez as Adonis, Sid Lucero as Jeffrey "Jepoy" Guzman, Jillian Ward as Dr. Barbara Hidalgo, Jon Lucas as Homer, Jay Manalo as Pancho Blanco, Faith Da Silva as Janice Luna, Ryan Eigenmann as Rico, Long Mejia as Lucio "Darak" Cinco, Boss Toyo as himself, Ms. Gloria Diaz as Nadia Hilario, Neil Ryan Sese as Teddy, King Gutierrez as Arturo, Roxie Smith as Aira Dela Cruz, and Joko Diaz as Diego.

Adding to the roster of returning cast members are Kapuso fan-favorites Carmi Martin as Lucing, Jestoni Alarcon as Chief Gener Alberto, Liezel Lopez as Jacqueline "Jacq" Dela Torre, Niño Muhlach as Sylvestre “Style” Salonga, Dennis Padilla as Police Major Vincent Policarpio, Maey Bautista as Candida Magtulis, Raphael Landicho as Kiko Reynaldo, and Jeffrey Tam as Onofre “Bunso” Batumbakal.

In this latest season of ‘Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis’, Bartolome is about to face his toughest battle yet, with old and new enemies threatening everything he holds dear. However, Season 3 is more than just action; the relationship between Bartolome and Gloria will be highlighted, and the people and events that made them who they are today will be revealed.

Strong bond

Bong sees his "Tolome" cast as another family, noting that the group shares a strong bond.

"Pamilya na talaga kami. Andyan yung madalas namin na biruan kapag off camera kami. The whole cast ito. Natural na ang lahat at wala na kaming ilangan. Kapag sinabi namin na reading na, alam na namin ang gagawin. Kapag nagkamali ang isa, may sasalo naman. Ganoon na ang chemistry ng group," Bong said.

Beauty added: "Everyone is natural. Minsan may take 2 kasi natatawa na sila sa mga eksena. Nanginginig sila habang hawak yung camera. Nagkakasundo talaga ang lahat. Everybody gets to shine."

"When I was injured, dinalaw naman nila ako eh," said Bong.

'Only in the show'

While Beauty could scream "Tolome" at the top of her lungs during the show, the actress mentioned that she hasn't used that tone with her real-life husband.

"Only in the show. Hindi ako ganun. I am really thankful for this show because I have been doing a lot of drama and horror. Thank you Senator Bong because naipakita ko rito ang comedy side ko. At nanalo pa ako rito ng Best Comedy Actress," she said.

"Drama ang pinaka-challenging sa akin pero nahasa na rin ako. Action naman ang pinaka-malapit sa akin," said Bong.

On plans to make Tolome into a movie, Bong said: "Why not? Pero kasi baka may season 4 pa kami after the elections."

Let Tolome, Gloria, and the rest of the “Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis” gang fill your weekend nights with action and laughter once again, starting Dec. 22, Sundays at 7:15 PM on GMA Network.
