2 drug suspects arrested in Las Piñas City

Members of the Southern Police District- Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) arrested two drug suspects listed in the drugs watch list during a buy-bust operation on Thursday, Dec. 19, in Las Piñas City.

SPD Director Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang identified the suspects as alias “Jong,” 30, listed as high value individual (HVI), and alias “Allen,” 22, a street value individual (SLI), both residents of Dasmarinas, Cavite. They were arrested at around 8:10 p.m. along Sta. Lucia St., Fatima Subdivision, Barangay Zapote, Las Piñas City.

Yang said DDEU members conducted a buy-bust operation in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for the arrest of the suspects allegedly notorious for their illegal drugs activities.

He said police operatives were able to confiscate from the suspects 51 grams of shabu worth P348,800 and P1,000 buy bust money.

The SPD chief said the suspects were charged for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
