Mayor Jeannie, Malabon LGU recognized for good governance, sustainability initiatives


Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval and the city government were honored by Sustainability Standards, Inc. at the 2024 Nation Builders and MOSLIV Awards for their exemplary leadership and successful implementation of sustainable development programs.

The awarding was held on Thursday, Nov. 28, at the Grand Ballroom of Okada Manila, Parañaque City.

Sandoval was named “Local Chief Executive of the Year” in the Gold Category for her outstanding and impactful leadership, which has significantly advanced the city’s growth and development.

“These awards are a testament not to an individual, but to the spirit of the people of Malabon—their resilience, their dedication, and their shared hope for a brighter tomorrow,” she said.

She also highlighted the following sustainability initiatives in Malabon:

-The Malabon Ahon Blue Card, which provides healthcare and financial support.

-The Electronic Business One Stop Shop, which streamlines business processes.

-The One Barangay, One Product Program, promoting local culture and identity.

-Advanced disaster preparedness facilities.


The Nation Builders and MOSLIV Awards 2024 recognized 70 leaders and organizations across the Philippines for their contributions to sustainability and impactful change.

The event, organized by Sustainable Standards, Inc., celebrated innovations shaping a sustainable future.

In addition to this recognition, Malabon City also received an award from the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) for ensuring the safety and integrity of public facilities.

The honor was presented during the 2024 Seal of Protection Awards, held at the GSIS Head Office Gymnasium in Pasay City.

The award was given by GSIS President and General Manager Jose Arnulfo Veloso.

City Administrator Dr. Alexander Rosete emphasized the city’s dedication to safeguarding its residents through well-maintained and secure infrastructure

“Ang parangal na ito ay tanda ng ating layunin na mapangalagaan ang kapakanan ng mga residente ng lungsod sa pamamagitan ng pagsiguro na ang ating mga pasilidad at kagamitan sa pagbibigay ng serbisyo ay matibay, ligtas, at naaalagaan (This recognition is a testament to our commitment to safeguarding the welfare of the city's residents by ensuring that our facilities and equipment for service delivery are durable, safe, and well-maintained),” Rosete stated.
