Police Brig. Gen. Roy Parena, officer-in-charge of the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO-7), said the series of anti-criminality operations from Dec. 13 to 15 also led to the arrest of 319 crime suspects.
During the three-day period, 7.96 kilos of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P54,150,000 were seized. The 86 anti-illegal drug operations also resulted in the arrest of 104 suspects.
In the campaign against illegal drugs, 110 individuals were arrested while P13,606 cash was seized.
Parena said the campaign against loose firearms was also intensified as part of the preparation for next year’s elections.
During the three-day operation, 80 unlicensed firearms were confiscated while five persons were arrested.
Parena added that 100 wanted persons, including 14 most wanted persons, were also arrested.
“Our message is clear: We are dedicated to making Central Visayas safe for everyone. This success comes from the strong support of the community and other law enforcement agencies. Together, we are setting the standard for peace and order in the Central Visayas region,” said Parena.
