Pickup truck rams octogenarian in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY â€“ An 80-year-old woman died after she was run over by a pickup truck in Barangay Taculing here on Thursday, Dec. 19.

Police identified the victim as Angelita Casguite, a resident of Barangay Taculing.

Police Major Ramel Sarona, head of the Traffic Enforcement Unit (TEU), said the victim slipped and fell on the road while walking on the gutter.

The victim was hit by a pickup truck driven by a 58-year-old man.

She died from severe head and body injuries.

The driver was placed under police custody pending investigation.
