Patricia Mae Maglaque, a resident of Barangay Robles, La Castellana, Negros Occidental and a cum laude graduate, obtained a 92.80 percent rating.

Maglaque said a former college teacher revealed that she passed the exam. “I still remember Miss Kane Sheena Ambong telling me before graduating that I will place in the topnotchers of the exam,” Maglaque said.

Maglaque said enough sleep and rest enabled her to pass the exam.

She reminded graduates of 2025 to never let the pressure of taking the board exam get to them and finding time to rest and refresh their minds will be key to performing well in the LEPT.

Maglaque thanked her parents, friends, elementary, high school, review center mentors, and college teachers for their support.

CHMSU ranked sixth among the top-performing schools on the elementary level with 50 to 99 first-time examinees having at least a 90 percent passing rate.

Maglaque is one of the 251 newly licensed teachers among first-time examinees from CHMSU Alijis, Binalbagan, and Talisay (Main) campuses – 75 in the elementary level and 176 in the secondary level.

College of Education Dean Ophelia Duayan congratulated the examinees and challenged them to use their license to become teachers who nurture students.

“This ranking of CHMSU in the top-performing schools shows our commitment to providing quality education,” she added.

Meanwhile, the CHMSU placed second among top-performing schools in the November 2024 Civil Engineers Licensure Exam (CELE).

Fifty-three out of 58 examinees hurled the exam for a 91.38 percent passing rate.

Engr. Grace Gerona, dean of the College of Engineering, sees their ranking as a blessing and this achievement is a challenge to keep up the performance.
