MPD hunts down riding-in-tandem who attempted to rob a nurse in Tondo

The Manila Police District (MPD) is in hot pursuit of two suspects involved in an attempted robbery of a nurse that occurred in Barangay 219, Tondo, Manila.

The incident took place when the nurse, who was on her way to the Tondo Healthcare Center, was targeted by the suspects riding on a motorcycle on Dec. 9.

According to the police, the riding-in-tandem suspects drove up to the victim and attempted to snatch her bag but the nurse resisted, causing her to be slightly dragged as the suspects sped off.

The nurse sustained serious injuries, including a fractured leg and concussion on the head and has been placed on a two-month medical leave.

She said the bags she was carrying contained documents from the healthcare center where she works.

MPD authorities stated that they have gathered leads and are working to locate the suspects.

The police also issued a warning to the public about the increase in robbery incidents during the holiday season, urging vigilance and caution.
