Over 2,000 cops deployed for 'Ligtas Paskuhan 2024' - SPD

The Southern Police District (SPD) announced that they are fully prepared for “Ligtas Paskuhan 2024” with the deployment of over 2,000 policemen in places of convergence, places of worship, railways, transport terminals, malls, and markets to address security needs and prevent any untoward incidents.

SPD director Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang said with the deployment of the policemen, this will ensure the security and safety of the community and will allow the public to enjoy a peaceful festive season.

“To ensure the safety and peace of the public, we have mobilized our resources, in close coordination with our partners, to maintain order and prevent untoward incidents," Yang said.

The official added that in addition to the SPD personnel, 2,069 officers from allied forces and force multipliers will also take part in the operation.
