Motorcyclist killed in collision with dump truck

LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte – A motorcycle rider was killed in a collision with a dump truck in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 17.

Police identified the victim as Mark Adrian Amper, 23, of Sarrat.

A MAN lies on a grassy area after his motorcycle collided with a dump truck in Ilocos Norte.

Investigation said the victim’s motorcycle suddenly encroached on the lane of the dump truck driven by Ramon Curamen, 44, of Bacarra, Ilocos Norte.

The motorcycle rammed the front bumper of the dump truck and Amper slid on the road.

Amper was taken to the Dingras District Hospital where he was declared dead due to head injuries.

Curamen, who was unhurt, was taken to the Sarrat police station for proper disposition and filing of appropriate charges.
