'Animo! UP Fight!': Maroons supporter Robina Gokongwei-Pe shows sportsmanship with DLSU president

In a brief message through her social media Tuesday, Dec. 17, Pe congratulated La Salle President Br. Bernie Oca after a grueling championship series that pushed the teams to their limits.
“Congratulations dearest Br. Bernie Oca (DLSU President) for a scintillating series,” Pe wrote.
“This is not a rivalry but a partnership to make UAAP basketball the best in the country,” she added. “Animo! UP Fight!”
The finals ended with the Diliman-based team snaring the crown after outlasting La Salle, 66-62, in front of a record-breaking crowd at the Big Dome.
Pe, daughter of business tycoon John Gokongwei who founded the JG Summit Holdings, is known as a major backer of the UP men’s basketball team.
Also a UP Diliman alumna, Pe also supports other sporting events participated by UP student-athletes.
