Motornapper killed in clash with police

CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija – A suspected motornapper was killed in an encounter with the police here on Saturday.

Police Col. Ferdinand Germino, Nueva Ecija police chief, said the suspect seized the motorcycle at gunpoint from a female rider at 4:20 a.m. on Felipe Vergara Highway, Barangay H. Concepcion.

A SUSPECTED motornapper (right) was shot dead in an encounter with the police in Cabanatuan City on Saturday.

The victim reported the incident to the police who pursed the suspect until he lost control of the motorcycle in Purok 1, Barangay Sumacab Este.

The suspect fired at the police who returned fire and killed him.

The motorcycle owner arrived at the encounter site and positively identified her motorcycle and the suspect.

The suspect’s firearm was recovered and will be subjected to further investigation.
