Eldrew, the younger brother of two-time Olympic champion Carlos Yulo, topped his events in the individual all-around, floor exercise, vault, parallel bars, horizontal bar, pommel horse and still rings to account for the almost half of the team’s 14-gold medal haul in the tournament.

They also delivered six silver and five bronze medals.

He was also part of the junior men’s artistic gymnastics team that won the gold in the team event.

Miguel Besana also contributed three gold medals for the crew after ruling the individual all-around, floor exercise and pommel horse even as Justine Ace De Leon chipped in gold medals in still rings and parallel bars in the senior division.

Besana and De Leon, medalists in the 2023 Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia, were also part of the senior crew that bagged the team gold.

Apart from the mints, Besana also delivered silver medals in still rings, parallel bars and vault, and bronze in horizontal bar.

De Leon, for his part, settled for bronze in vault.

Other medalists for the PH team were John Matthew Vergara (silver in horizontal bar, bronze in parallel bars), Jhon Romeo Santillan (silver in floor exercise), Jan Gwynn Timbang (silver in pommel horse), and Hillarion Palles (bronze in pommel horse and parallel bars).

Overall, it was a productive campaign for the PH team in closing the year with a bang as it hopes for more accolades in a busy year in 2025.
