After successful Malaysian tilt, UTP netters shine in Thailand

Players of the United Tennis Philippines team continued their winning ways after collecting two singles and four doubles titles in the recent 8th Hat Yai International Tennis tournament in Thailand.

Hannah Divinagracia bannered the squad after bagging the girls 18-under singles title while teaming up with Micah Emana for the girls 18-under doubles crown. Cadee Dagoon also contributed a trophy for winning the girls 14-under singles.

Other winners were Ariel Cabaral and Kurt Barrera in the boys 18-under doubles, Cadee Dagoon and Donna Diamante in the girls 14-under doubles, and Ian Gairanod and Yuan Torrente in the boys 10-under doubles.

Emana, diamante, Barrera and Caroliean Fiel also had runner-up finishes in their respective singles categories, as well as Xian Calagos and Ethan Aguilar,  Fiel and Etha Nadine Seno, Brendan Morales and Ace Bandala, and

Jana Diaz and Khalilah Imalay in the doubles.

The feat in Thailand came days after reaping three singles and four doubles titles in the 39th Penang International Juniors Tennis Championships in Malaysia.

Jean Henri Lhuillier, UTP President and Cebuana Lhuillier CEO, lauded the players for their performance, hoping that they would sustain their feats in the future.
