Student killed in Friday the 13th mishap

BAUAN, Batangas – A 24-year-old student was killed and two pedestrians were injured when they were rammed by a car in Barangay Manghinao here on Friday afternoon, Dec. 13.

Police identified the fatality as Teddy C. llagan, 24. He was taken to a hospital here where he was declared dead.

Investigation disclosed that the car driven by Petronio Hernandez Alcayde, 74, was bumped by a Sports Utility Vehicle driven by Jenny Ebreo Salcedo, 38.

The car veered to the right and hit a parked tricycle and Ilagan who was thrown into the concrete pavement and sustained severe injuries.

Pedestrians Bryan Mendoza llagan, 44, and Daryl Delos Santos, 16, were also hit by the car.

The victims were taken to a hospital here where Ilagan was declared dead.

Alcayde was arrested and faces appropriate cases.
