A tragic fire claimed the lives of five individuals, including four minors, on Saturday morning, Dec. 14, in Barangay San Roque, Navotas City.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) identified the victims as 41-year-old Sarah Constantino and four minors: Lorein Constantino, 17; Daniela Jocson, 15; Ruthie Tongco, 12; and Kayla Jocson, 12.
All five were rushed to Navotas City Hospital where they were pronounced dead on arrival due to smoke inhalation.
The fire broke out along Gov. Pascual Street at around 7:14 a.m.
The blaze was extinguished by 7:53 a.m.
Meanwhile, the city government said that personnel from the city’s Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) have begun interviewing the affected families to determine the assistance they may need.
All of the bereaved families availed the free cremation and burial services offered by the local government.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
