2 communist rebels surrender in Batangas

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Two New People’s Army rebels surrendered to authorities in Barangay Masaya, Rosario, Batangas on Friday afternoon, Dec. 13.

The Police Regional Office 4-A identified the surrenderers as Alma, 52, and Andak, 53.

Alma turned over ammonium nitrate fuel oil, a 12-inch time fuse, a blasting cap, and a rifle propelled grenade.

The rebel returnees are under the custody of the 1st Batangas Police Mobile Force Company.

They are being prepared for custodial debriefing and application to the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP).
