PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia — MOONTON Games has formally unveiled a busy 2025 roadmap for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Esports with the Mid-Season Cup still part of the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in July and the crowning tournament M7 World Championships happening in January 2026 with the host yet to be announced.

PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia — MOONTON Games has formally unveiled a busy 2025 roadmap for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Esports with the Mid-Season Cup still part of the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in July and the crowning tournament M7 World Championships happening in January 2026 with the host yet to be announced.
Moonton Games Head of China and Regional Esports Mike Chu presented the roadmap on Friday, Dec. 13, with over 200 industry experts from team owners, government regulators, brand sponsors and agency in attendance during the M6 Summit 2024 at the Putrajaya Marriott Hotel here.
The first half of the MPL circuits will run from March to June to determine the participants to the MSC 2025, while the second half is set from August to October to likewise find out the qualified teams to the M7 World Championships.
Riding the wave of what is a successful 2024 year marked by milestones and awards for MLBB Esports, MOONTON also announced the creation of China’s very own MPL League.
"MLBB's global expansion continued in 2024 with the establishment of the Chinese league. We are excited to witness one of the world's gaming powerhouses test their strength in the MLBB esports ecosystem."
“At the same time, we're delighted to see more competitive diversity at our tournaments. At the ongoing M6 World Championship, we have for the first time in M Series history seen four teams from different regions reach the Semi Finals. This is a result of our strategy to grow the ecosystem internationally; MLBB is now truly a global esports brand,” he added.
On top of its global events, MLBB is also formally announced as part of the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand in December. It will be the fourth iteration of the regional meet that has MLBB Esports, both in men’s and women’s divisions, as a medal event.
And with MOONTON also putting more premium on inclusivity, the esports title also aimed to further boost the women MLBB scene with the continuous participation of the MLBB Women’s Invitational in the Esports World Cup as well as the planned creation of a local women’s league in the Philippines.
Of course, there’s also third party tournaments with the Snapdragon Pro Series Challenge Finals set in February before its Mobile Masters tournament set the next month. New Snapdragon Pro Series seasons are likewise set in May and August next year.
