PRC announces September 2024 licensure exam for teachers results


The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Friday, Dec. 13, that 68,900 examinees passed the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) conducted last September.

The PRC and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) reported that 20,025 elementary teachers out of 44,002 examinees (45.51 percent) and 48,875 secondary teachers out of 85,926 examinees (56.88 percent) successfully passed the LEPT, held on Sept. 29 in 40 testing centers across the Philippines and Thailand.

It was further noted that among the 20,025 elementary teacher passers, 16,340 were first-time takers, while 3,685 were repeaters.

For the secondary level, 41,190 of the passers were first-timers, and 7,685 were repeaters.

The Board for Professional Teachers is composed of Dr. Rosita L. Navarro as Chairman; Dr. Paz I. Lucido as Vice Chairman; and Dr. Paraluman R. Giron and Dr. Nora M. Uy as Members.

The PRC said that it will announce the dates and venues for the oathtaking ceremonies of the successful examinees at a later date.
