Exactly one month after the sequel to the film "Hello, Love, Goodbye" was released worldwide, Kathryn and Alden, collectively known as KathDen, thanked the First Lady and other guests who watched and enjoyed the movie.
'We're grateful to her for making time for this. Ito ang cherry on top of all our executions for the film promos so we're very grateful for getting the support from the First Lady," said Alden, after the screening of the movie.
Asked how the First Lady reacted to the film, Alden added: "Sobrang nagustuhan niya. It was like a happy cry for her, a fulfilled cry for her. Parang na-realize niya yung home niya is her husband niya si President Bongbong Marcos. Bigla niyang hinanap si President. The film talaga resonates with a lot of people in different ways."
Kathryn said she and Alden did not expect the First Lady would make time for the film.
"Her reaction after the movie was priceless. Grabe! Ang saya! Sabi niya it was a good cry naman. She enjoyed and she mentioned napanood niya rin ang first part," Kathryn said.
KathDen said it was the first time they had met Mrs. Marcos.
"I am just surprised sa mga nangyari today," Kathryn said.
The government previously expressed its support for the entertainment industry, and KathDen was excited about it.
"We're grateful na may katuwang tayo sa pagpapatibay ng ating entertainment industry. We're just so happy that this happened today. Sana tuloy-tuloy na magkaroon ng maraming projects tulad ng 'Hello, Love Again," Alden said.
Kathryn said that Dec. 13 would be her last working day for 2024.
"Bakasyon na ako. Siguro mapi-feel ko (na miss ko sila) in the coming weeks. Siguro slowly magsi-sink in na sa akin yun na it's done," she said. "What a year it has been and all the blessings. What really happened this year was full of surprises. Hindi pa talaga siya nasi-sink in. Baka mamaya."
"I'm sure magkikita kita pa rin kami nila Direk Cathy (Garcia-Sampana), Tisoy and the cast. The film has ended, but the friendship will remain. We will be there for one another after what happened five years ago," Kathryn said.
Alden added: "Ramdam namin na nagkaisa ang buong OFWs for this film. We hope we inspired them the way the movie inspired us."
After one month, the movie is still being screened nationwide in 100 theaters. It was reported that the same movie trended in Cambodia.
"This has been Ethan del Rosario. This has been Joy Marie Fabregas officially signing off," the stars said.
