Fnatic Onic Philippine may have kept the Philippines’ finals streak in the M6 World Championships but head coach Tony “Ynot” Senedrin was tempering the celebrations, knowing full well that the job is still far from over.

With the Filipinos elated after the PH representatives’ masterful 3-1 performance over one of their closest rivals, Team Liquid from Indonesia in the upper bracket finals, Ynot refused to get too carried away as he hopes his wards could keep their focus on the bigger prize – the world title.

“We’re here to prove that we’re the best team and probably gonna eat something good tonight (to celebrate), probably Nasi Lemak or something, I would really love that, but again, tomorrow is another day for us. We need to work and we need to make sure that (we know) this is not yet done,” said the veteran mentor during the post-game presser.

With the win, FNOP is marching to its second finals appearance in its franchise in the worlds and the fifth straight for Philippine teams in the last five years.

FNOP is coming into the grand finals as the heavy favorites since PH teams have been the champions in M-series for the last four years.

For Ynot, the team was just proud to carry and wave the flag of the country and their Onic franchise atop the world tournament.

“Very proud, to be honest. That Philippine pride is there, but most especially, I’m proud of my players. Up to this point, they do understand what’s at stake,” said Ynot.

“We can’t let all the Filipinos down but definitely apart from that, it’s really (about) the individual dreams that we have and the respect that we have for each other. Having to represent ONIC and the Philippines in the finals, I’m pretty psyched to be honest.”

“But again, the job's not done so let’s see,” he insisted.

The Filipinos will have a three-day rest before plunging back into the action as they still await their Finals opponents from the lower bracket.

But Ynot wants to make sure that no stones would be left unturned as they gear up for the best-of-seven finale.

“It wouldn't be a break to be honest. It’s not as if we’re gonna be heading back to the hotel and tomorrow we’re gonna to KL (Kuala Lumpur) or explore the sights and sounds of Malaysia. How I wish that is. Again, we’re not here for a vacation. We’re here to prove that we’re the best team,” he stressed.
