Social media influencer Boss Toyo is taking another milestone as he officially launched Geng Geng Network to a bigger platform.
Together with his co-content creators, the network will bring different kinds of shows, including fitness, fashion, family, and inspirational stories.
During their grand media conference held at the Trigger Cine Studio last Dec. 9, Boss Toyo shared what made him decide to launch Geng Geng Network.
"Yung Geng Geng Network binuo namin ito with my fellow content creators, siguro ako lang yung nakaisip ng pangalan, pero hindi ko ito magagawa without them. So, matagal na namin itong plano last year po and ngayon lang talaga nagkaroon ng magmamaterial and dun papasok yung D8TV," Boss Toyo said.
According to Boss Toyo, the airing of the programs will start from 6 am until 10 pm. He also mentioned that aside from the original content creators who are part of the network, they will also open doors for other content creators who like to join their community.
Boss Toyo was also asked if there was pressure on the side from taking his online image into the mainstream platform.
Former reporter Jay Ruiz, now part of the D8TV Network, shared his experience on working with Boss Toyo.
He looks up to Vic Sotto as host
Just like any host, Boss Toyo also looks up to "Eat Bulaga" host Vico Sotto when it comes to hosting.
"I look up kay Vic Sotto, kasi napaka simpatico at simple niya lang, napaka plain niyang tingnan pero kapag nakita mo siya, maiistar struck ka. Napakabait din niya, kaya ako I look up to him kasi parang siya yung gusto ko sundan na yapak," Boss Toyo said.
Although Boss Toyo made it clear that he is not copying Vic, he is just a fan when it comes to hosting a variety or game show.
