Agents of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) seized around P13 million worth of illegal drugs during an operation at the Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC) in Pasay City.
NAIA District Collector Atty Yasmin O. Mapa said those confiscated on Dec. 5 were parcels containing kush, a high-grade marijuana, and ecstasy tablets with a total estimated street value of P12,996,700.00.
She said the parcels were shipped from different countries and addressed to various recipients in the Philippines.
They were flagged during a routine inspection and found to contain 7,791 grams of kush and 1,229 pieces of ecstasy tablets.
