BFP rescues woman who climbed electric post in Caloocan City

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Caloocan City rescued a woman who climbed an electric post along 9th Avenue, Nadurata St., Barangay 60, on Thursday, Dec. 12.

The woman, identified as "Adel," a 55-year-old resident of Barangay 60, was first spotted around 6:50 a.m. by residents and a passing tricycle driver.

Responders from the barangay and BFP-Caloocan immediately arrived at the area.

According to the BFP, Adel appeared to be of sound mind but was noticeably anxious.

The barangay captain and a BFP personnel entered the premises of a private residence to convince Adel to climb down the post.

The woman voluntarily agreed to come down after the rescue team assured her of her safety.

Adel was successfully rescued at around 7:30 a.m. and was handed over to the village chief for further care and assessment, the BFP said.
