After five years, OPM icon Geneva Cruz revealed she has found a new love in Southeast Asian Games jiu-jitsu national athlete and gold medalist Dean Roxas.
Geneva, 45, revealed her new boyfriend at the launching of her first Christmas song, "When Christmas Comes," held at Pandan Asian Restaurant in Morato, Quezon City, on Dec. 11.
"This Christmas is special to me because I have opened myself to love. I feel much happier now," said Geneva when asked how this Christmas is meaningful to her.
At first, Geneva would only give clues about her boyfriend when grilled by the entertainment press.
"He's here. He inspires me to be better. May mga positive reinforcement na galing sa kanya," she said. "Basta I'm happier. Yun ang kaibahan ng Christmas ko this year."
Geneva hinted: "He's a national athlete."
Later, Geneva admitted she was in a relationship with a jiu-jitsu national athlete and SEA Games gold medalist, Dean Roxas.

Geneva first married Paco Arespacochaga. They have a son named Heaven. They split.
After her marriage to Paco was annulled, Geneva married television host KC Montero. They broke up after 10 years. They remain good friends.
Geneva was also in a relationship with former partner Filipino-Australian Lee Paulsen. They have a daughter named London.

When asked if there would be a reunion of The Smokey Mountain during the show, Geneva said: "There have been offers for the Smokey Mountain to reunite. We're just waiting for one member. Kapag nag-yes na si James Coronel, go na kami."
Smokey Mountain blasted the music scene in 1989 with hits such as "Kailan," "Da Coconut Nut," "Paraiso," "Can This Be Love?" etc.
The two other original members of Smokey Mountain are Jeffrey Coronel and Tony Lambino.
