The Philippine Statistics Authority-6 reported that the inflation rate decreased by 0.7 percent from 3.9 percent in October.

“The deceleration in the Western Visayas inflation rate in November 2024 was mainly due to the slower annual growth in the index of housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels,” said Nida Amolar, PSA-6 officer-in-charge and chief statistical specialist.

There was also a decrease in food and non-alcoholic beverages as well as health and communication, Amolar said.

For the third month in a row, Aklan province recorded the lowest inflation rate at 1.3 percent.

For the second month in a row, Iloilo province recorded the highest inflation rate at 4.4 percent.

Iloilo City recorded an inflation rate of 3.5 percent: three percent for Negros Occidental province; 2.9 percent for Capiz province; 2.8 percent for Antique province; 2.7 percent for Bacolod City; and 2.5 percent in Guimaras province.
