As a genderfluid individual, style is a way for me to express outwardly who I am on the inside. What’s important to me is not feeling so bound by rules. What makes sense to me is what I wear. Black goes with pink, goes with lace, goes with a crop top, goes with anik-anik—anything goes! My #StyleWeekend begins by asking myself, “Good morning! What do you want to be today?” and finding a way to make it happen.—Von
My look isn’t exactly how I normally dress; I just wanted to match with my besties and fit the vibe! I woke up late that day and had to create an outfit really fast, so I just grabbed what looked okay and put it together. I think I was going for the silhouette of old Filipino attire with my own personal spin (a.k.a. whatever I already had). My style is all about comfort and how I feel like presenting that day—feminine, masculine, or somewhere in the middle—but I do like to dress up when I’m with my friends. My #StyleWeekend involves staying at home or going out with my friends if there’s an event. My life isn’t that exciting; I’m just chilling.—Zart
My look is inspired by pre-colonial dress in the Philippines, way before the Maria Clara and terno I’m used to! Content creator @nahiadiwata on TikTok got me into pre-colonial fashion, which spiraled into me researching pre-colonial Tagalog clothing. Unsurprisingly, my personal style doesn’t stray far, as I take a lot of inspiration from period pieces and try to look like gender-neutral, biblically accurate angels! My #StyleWeekend starts pretty late, usually around noon, and involves a lot of clothes piling onto my bed.—Cobs
There’s a stark contrast between my look and my personal style! On normal days, I would wear black-on-black with hints of Alt and Y2K, or maybe something baggy and comfortable. But I thought it would be nice to celebrate Filipino heritage in a way that feels fresh and unique! Plus, it’s nice to feel dainty and petite from time to time. My #StyleWeekend involves a lot of going out with my friends or partner and doing cute, fun stuff together! I love looking cute, hanging out, and chilling after a busy workweek.—Deezi
