Modus alert: ‘Baklas bubong’ suspect nabbed in Imus


CAVITE – Authorities arrested a suspect involved in a “baklas bubong” robbery incident at a drugstore in Imus City on Wednesday, Dec. 11.

The Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) said the incident happened at 6:30 a.m., when the drugstore's security guard noticed that a suspect had breached the building by dismantling the roof and passing through its ceiling to gain access to the establishment.

The guard immediately alerted the Imus Component City Police (CCPS) personnel patrolling the area, leading to the suspect’s arrest.

Confiscated from the suspect’s possession were live ammunition and various tools, including a plier, a screwdriver, and a wrench.

The suspect is now under the custody of Imus CCPS.

In a statement, the Cavite PPO said the prompt arrest of the perpetrator conducted by the Imus CCPS underscores their unwavering commitment to public safety and security.
