Drug suspect nabbed in Taguig

A 41-year-old man was arrested by the police in a buy-bust operation that resulted in the confiscation of suspected shabu in Taguig on Dec. 10.

The Taguig Police Drug Enforcement Unit said the suspect, identified as as alias Jomar, was apprehended at about 10:30 p.m. in Barangay Bagumbayan, Taguig.

During the operation, the police seized three plastic sachets containing shabu, weighing 14.65 grams valued at P99,620, P500 bill used as buy-bust money, and three P1,000 bills used as boodle money.

The illegal drugs were turned over to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.

The police will file a complaint against the suspect for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
