STL bet collector shot dead by former lover

TUY, Batangas - A Small Town Lottery bet collector was allegedly  gunned down by her former lover inside the STL office over their illicit affair in Barangay Luna, here, on Monday afternoon, Dec. 9.

Victim Florita Ilayang Anchorez was at the Refresh Gaming Corp. STL station when she and the suspect Edmond, 35, a fellow STL bet collector, married,  of Barangay Mataywanac here had an argument regarding their previous relationship.

Edmond lost his temper  and shot the victim in the head.

She was taken to the Don Manuel Lopez Memorial Hospital in Balayan, Batangas where she was declared dead.

The suspect fled and the subject of a manhunt.

Tricycle driver gunned down in Batangas

MABINI, Batangas -- A 34-year-old tricycle driver was shot dead  by an unidentified gunman on Monday evening, Dec. 9, in Barangay Sta Mesa here.

Police  identified the victim as Dino Masangkay Catapang, 34, of Barangay Pulong Balibaguhan, this town.

Investigation disclosed that the victim was driving his Bajaj 3-wheel vehicle when he was shot.

He was taken to the United Doctor of Saint Camillus de Lellis Hospital where he was declared dead by Dr. Jasmine Dominguez.

The suspect wearing black jacket on board a motorcycle fled towards an unknown direction after the shooting.
